Okay, looks like I have to go. We’ll know soon enough who the winner is. Let’s just hope this thing ends tonight.
7:32 pm I’m amazed that David Gregory is a rising star. No disrespect to his reporting skills, but don’t you think that he looks a little like one of the Geico cavemen?
7:24pm Clinton’s lead has dropped another point to 55% to 45%. Howard Fineman of Newsweek says that May 20th will wrap this circus up, after Oregon and Kentucky will give Obama the majority of the remaining delegates. Why May 20th? Why not tonight? I need to focus my irritation at John McCain, where it belongs.
7:19pm Matthews was badgering some talking head about Obama’s association to Rev. Wright, until she mentioned that Tim Russert and Obama has talked about it Sunday– Matthews immediately shut up and muttered, “Well, it’s been covered in some media…”
7:11pm Chris Matthews may as well wear an Obama pin. He’s basically smearing Clinton while talking to Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO), an Obama supporter, who won’t take the bait. You wonder if people are standing off camera, wondering if they can shut him up. They probably know they can’t– his contract doesn’t run out until the end of the year.
7:09 pm By the way, Obama is ahead in North Carolina 65% to 34%… I’m wondering who the others are voting for. I’m guessing Huey Lewis.
7:05pm Clinton’s lead in indiana has narrowed slightly, putting her ahead of Obama, 56% to 44%. They have just begun counting Gary and Indianapolis though, so this lead will probably narrow.
7:00pm Everyone is calling the North Carolina election for Obama, which is weird, because they were able to do that before any votes have been counted. Everyone voting must have been wearing Obama t-shirts and chanting “Yes we can!”
6:59 pm Watching MSNBC live on the internet for the first time. Odd, they don’t run the commercials– just music during the breaks, along with a theme song. Oh, now they’re back. Let’s watch.
I was planning on live blogging this thing, but my time is limited. So may I present a 30 minute slice of live blog, served piping hot for public consumption.

Exit polls, dude. Exit polls.
Well, sometimes you can trust them, sometimes you can’t. But this time? Looks like we could.
